The recent Iceland volcanic activity has caused clouds of smoke in the skies, and kept planes on the ground. Scientists state that since the volcano is located below a glacial ice cap , the magnma is being cooled quickly which causes the eruption column to grow. With the volcano being so vigorious explosions are rapidly increasing keeping the clouds full of volcanic ash. There seems to be no early ending in store. Aviation experts indicate that the volcanic activity has been one of the longest lasting one and also created the worst travel disruptions ever known in Europe or the world. Passengers are becoming anxious to get moving, but staying is more like what they're doing. This has also caused many passengers to experiece hardships, checking out of hotels and sleeping in airports because they cannot afford to stay in hotels rooms any longer and if that true it's probable many may run out of ways support to substain their daily meals. So far at least 45 or more flights have be cancelled as of Saturday. The volcano called Eyjafjallajokull (ay-yah-FYAH'-plah-yer-kuh-duhl] began erupting the second time on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Winds then stirred up the ash and the planes are on the ground. However, the disruption from flights are a precautionary measure to prevent flight crashes. Many citizens are asked to stay inside who experience respiratory problems.

It is very sad that so many people are stranded and also that President Obama couldn't fly to Poland to pay respect to the late Polsish President who was killed along with his wife and other members of his government. I hope that there will be an end in site soon.
