Former CNBC host Donny Deutsch is filling in on MSNBC as 3pmET anchor all this week, with a show titled America The Angry.

The first couple minutes of the show ended up serving as a monologue/mission statement for the program, with Deutsch dramatically urging viewers to stop with all the anger.
After introducing the show, Deutsch went into a speech about how “It is your fault!” – mimicking the various people, places and circumstances Americans are blaming for their problems. They ranged from “It’s Fox, it’s MSNBC, they’re ruining everything,” to “It’s Tiger Woods, he let me down, Tiger how could you do that?”

And the big conclusion:

This is the best damn country ever. We’re a country of rugged individuals. I believe in us, I believe in you, I believe in I. Stop pointing! We still have a pretty damn good thing going here. Let’s get to work. Enough with the anger. I’m angry with anger.

“I’m angry with anger” – that deserves to be on a T-shirt or something. Also, if he’s angry with anger, is that anger part of the problem?

The show spent significant time on Goldman Sachs (with CNBC guests like Jim Cramer and Trish Regan) as well as the tea parties. Also showing up was former FNCer Page Hopkins, as the newsreader. It’s an interesting idea for a show, that will get fleshed out further as the week progresses. And with a couple hours still left to fill permanently, this could have a spot in the MSNBC daytime line-up if it materializes.

this program on msnbc is going to be unique, because as the host says, he is going to try all week to show AMERICA AS NOT RED / BLUE BUT PURPLE...THIS BY SO MANY OF US ON BIA AND WHAT TEACHERS LIKE RICH TEACHES IS CALLED , C-R-I-T-I-C-A-L T-H-I-N-K-I-N-G.......UNCONDITIONAL DIALOGE...THE MISSION STATEMENT OF THIS VERY SITE...

I really enjoyed Rachael showing Rush Limbaugh proving that T. Mcviegh was lying when he gave his reaons for bombing a building and killing 168 innocent American men, women and small children, because he did not say what Limbaugh said was the one and only reason he did this...

McViegh said he had many reasons, Limbaugh said not McViegh is lying, because he only had one and only reason to do this.

ONLY IN AMERICA, because so many people will believe Limbaugh and not Mcveigh...BRAINWASHING WORKS or Limbaugh would not be a multi-millionair drug addict on our public air waves every day...he would be in prison. (smile)

Clark, what you were talking about is the exact reason for this program...if someone is saying they are anger they are being asked to explain why they are angry and exactly who it is they are angry with/ over...

WHICH IS AN EFFORT TO HELP STOP SO MUCH ANGEY THAT IS SO DEPENDANT ON EMOTIONAL OUBT BURST OVER 'HERE SAY FROM TEH LIMBAUGHS AND THE BECKS...example,

christ Matthew in an interiver at teh D.C. rally was asked which of his rights had been violated...needless to say he had no idea which one had ben violated...then he came u with his rights to protect is family had beeen violated because he can not have a gun...Christ reminded taht he and his family lives in Mich. so as he was at thst moment in a public park in D.C. then what kind of gun did he need for protection there right at this moment...teh guy said what size that is until he was reminded about another preson could have a bigger gun tahn his so he was asked if all of teh people in D.C. were carrying guns would this be right and would he be comfortable with this...this got changed by this person and one of teh organizers of the rally inot they should be given a choice...he never got around to answering the question about should he have limits on the size of protection say like does he believe he should be able to have a bozuka in the park....

and, ti sis what this program is about why are you angry and what rights you have lost taht you are angry about and from all sizeds therfore the name representing th Purple in America on Anger....

Me I think it is cute and should last more than one week as htis is what was said about thei angry theme program. (smile)

we must educate and be educated from all isdes...it is called critical thinking...(smile) or just plain old EQUALITY. lol...
