WOW!!! Do you think she may have self esteem issues? Eric... Had issues... But David Justice once said in an articule that Ms. Berry is a very complicated sista! But I agree, she really needs a time out....

I really can't say if she has self esteem issues, but you never really know. Sometimes beautiful women are the most difficult women to live with. Not saying that Halle is, but it's evident she's not one who can hold marriages together. Perhaps being as pretty as she is she's expecting more attention and support from her mate to fill in as her stronghold. That's just figuraritly speaking...don't hold me to knowing anything about her lifestyle. I'm only making an opinion based on similiar situations. I think she'll do better if she'd wait a while before choosing to "jump into another marriage or even dating for a while." She needs time out I think.

Poor Halle Berry....It is like the Arabian Fable..."in search of the Blue Rose"....The story of an charming man looking all over the world for this blue rose, known for its beauty. Only to find that the blue rose was in his own backyard.

I didn't know she married Gabe... I thought Halle stated emphaticly that she would never marry again. I love Halle!!

Jamal...I'm smiling at your comment! He dosed off and missed seeing a real flower! Guess what?...he may wind up with only thorns!....{LOL}

Jen--I knew she had remarried, but I didn't know this was her third. I think maybe she'll do some thinking before trying marriage again, but we never know.. she's fully vibrant and she keeps going.

LOL....

Apparently the news reports are stating that Gabe & Halle were not married. I don't know if I should be relieved or not. I'm confused but I think Gabe is a better man than that Eric fellow was.

Cynthia Merrill Artis Saturday, May 1st 2010 at 9:46PM

Eric had issues "addicted to s*x"... David Justice I think really loved Halle... But Halle said at one point it was too hard trying to maintain a marriage when both people live public busy lives. She use to really support Justice... she would be there in the stands during his games. She also once talked about being bi-racial and how her mother(white) wnted to make sure both of her daughters had knowledge of their "black" culture ... But Halle said that she had identity issues....

Then her farther whom had abandoned his family.... Wanted to reconnect once she had become famous... and she rejected him because of his abandonment

I think Ms. Halle is over those childhood skeletal problems (which is enough to give anyone issues). It has to be tough for people in the lime lite to maintain relationships... shucks its difficult for ordinary people to maintain relationships. Ha!

Great point JF! Marriages take lots of work of the each mate if it is meant to last a lifetime. It is of course, a lifetime committing to stay and stick it out! Love, committment, and clingin until death do you part. How so often are these morals of marriage disappearing...in only a few short days, weeks, months and years?

how is halle berry Pretty?

she won an Artistic oscar for portraying a mother who abuses her son, who is sodomized by a Racist Guard who helped in the execution of her husband?

all the other stuff, please---pretty as a flower? pretty as a bear? pretty as a hooker? pretty as a ............

I would tell my sons to stay away from trash like that, she is ugly as a female can be...............

Cynthia Merrill Artis Sunday, May 2nd 2010 at 6:57PM

Robert I think you are referencing characters she portrayed. As a person she is a beautiful person... She's involved in numerous social organizations and on occasion she has contributed to her time to worthy efforts.
As actors and actresses are concerned.. There still are stereotypes in the movie industry... To attain good/positive images on screen are rare....

Let's look at Denzel Washington, I think in Cry Freedom he portrayed the- life of Steven Biko and Malcolm X superbly.... But he won his Oscar for portraying a cop gone bad.

Especially with black couples... the divorce rate has almost trippled... In my opinion it sends a message to our youth.... Also relationships are very hard to maintain. Seems we've lost the staying power our granparents had.

Also I have found with some of my friends... Marriage does not have the sacredness it should. I take that vow very serious.... therefore, If I get married again.... GOD'S gonna be all up in it....

Jen Fad Monday, May 3rd 2010 at 9:39AM

People are just not committed any more to one another. I think when small children are involved, people should at least try to make things work, because it is possible to maintain relationships.

MIISRAEL Bride Monday, May 3rd 2010 at 9:51AM

Robert, Halle maybe not be pretty to you. That's really OKAY! We all behold beauty in different ways. I think Cynthia rounded up how one see images of pretty inside and out, her roles as an actress are not really her. I think she's pretty outside, I don't know about her actual character because I don't know her on a personal basis--so I can't say if that's pretty or not. When I titled the blog Pretty Halle I looked at my preception of her as what I found appealing to me. Each of us carry some kind of beauty, but I think beauty is like that song it's only skin deep. Inside is where really beauty resides. Attitudes and actions can make us ugly to the bone.

Jen Fad Monday, May 3rd 2010 at 10:24AM

We all know Bro. Robert is just hatin' on Halle because he wishes he had been the one. Ha!

Cynthia Merrill Artis Monday, May 3rd 2010 at 11:08AM

Jen... I agree with you... I always like to say "we mimmick what we see" it's a learned social behavior.

This younger generation is so much more impressionable than older generations. One factor is our elderly role models are passing on and grandmothers today.. are as young as 30 (in some cases)..... Divorce rate is higher among Black/Africans.. Traditions, Values are ???? almost non existance.

I constantly talk to my young sisters... I try to encourage the importance of maintaining strong healthy relationships.... Marriage is not easy...

However, I see too many young, unwed, women with babies... No high school education and no desire to make a better life for themselves.

WE have to help send a better visual (for others to follow)...

Clark..... Let's say this.... s*xY SELLS.... No matter how... if we look at some of our best Actresses... They have all played some type of role which has been demeaning... I believe Whoopie Goldberg can honestly say she was awarded for her talent in "Ghost" ..... Hattie McDaniel.... Playing a Maid..... Della Reese .... A Madame... Diana Ross... A Heroin Addict.... Monique (Precious).... Cicely Tyson..

It's like Spike Lee says, until there become black produces/owners of production companies.... There will be limited opportunities for blacks to portray POSITIVE images.

Even Tyler Perry.... Has gone over to the other side with some of his movies... Diary of a Madd Black Woman.... Madea Goes to Jail....
Yet his plays are still (Religious based)... Just my little spin....
