Why Am I Having To Go Through?

Jen Fad · Wednesday, May 5th 2010 at 10:22PM · 406 views
Here it is ya'll. I applied and was hired for a home health company back in Jan. While going thru the orientation, I was told that there was no work for the area I was hired for & that the company would keep me on staff in the event something came available.

I left a vm for the mgr back in Feb feeding her back as she asked me to do re: how my experiences in the field with the senior visiting nurses who were showing me the ropes. The manager never called me back.

I get a call two days ago (in May--- almost 3 months later) with an attitude from this mgr asking why I hadn't called to find out about work? The long and short of it is she decided that since I didn't call (which I did call and she just didn't return my call) that I was not interested in working for the company anymore so they let me go.

What? Is anyone else following this train of thought?!

WOOH!!! Jen.... Sorry to hear that... I'm certain that she had an explanation for not returning your call??......

But on a serious tipp!! GOD has something else in store for you!! the Mgr showing attitude is only validation that this is not the company you want to work for. So, just shake it off... GIVE GOD HIS Glory and make another move. Disappointments are sometimes Blessings....

I am just amazed that someone who hired me and told me that there was no work would expect me to call them about work. I would think the mgr would be in the better position to know when there was work if that makes any sense. Ha!

Jen, I agree. I came across many people that fit the same description. Apparently the manager is not doing HIS job to keep you informed of job openings. Just remember whatever God takes away he replaces what that which is better!

From the beginning of hiring I believe it was not clearly explained to you of what you needed to do as far as reporting in on a regular basis. Since the manager was holding you responsible for calling in. There was a breakdown in communication. This led her to thinking you weren't interested anymore in working. Let that door close up! While your going through open that door in front of you and go on through to something waiting on the other side of the entrance.

The way I look at it--is this is THEIR loss. Your talents, experience and know-how will be better put to use elsewhere.

As Jesus told his disciplies, if they don't want you , shake the dust off your feet and move on. And don't give it a second thought.
