THE GRASS ON THE OTHER SIDE

THE GRASS ON THE OTHER SIDE

"The grass is always greener on the other side." Well..that quote has many anti-cousins quotes too! One of them says; "Don't let the green grass fool you." There's another that says; "Looks can be deceiving." I often talk with my own son about looking on the other side of things. There are situations when it can be better if he'll seek where the grass is greener without a lot at stake... you have to have some idea of what's on the other side of the ground and if it is a safe color of green. For instance, changes for opportunities and growth can lay in waiting that are prosperous and good. Then, there are grasses that are green that lay to soak up all your essence of living. These grounds can be glamourous and eye appealing. Grounds of grasses like those mentioned can be covered with lots of risks and dangerous turf-- grasses which can soak and choak up your very life.

"The grass is always greener on the other side" by all means up front --I think is meant to be helpful. By which perhaps someone has lost all hope and feel there is no where to go. You give them a thought that there is another side that's not all at is at loss. They'll have a chance of things getting better with endurance and patience in making it to greener pastures. The quote has many attributes pro and con. Development of choices must be considered, and that'll fall into determining wise selections with experience and having to attaining responsible knowlege.

Careful now, for the green grass can look so good that the calling can be all deceiving. This quote is a tricky one. Another kindred quote sounds much like this;
" Everything that feels, looks or sounds good to you isn't always good for you."

"Is the grass always greener on the other side? That surely may not always be so."

It's like...whenver you are driving in triaffic, you are always in the slowest lane. And when you change lanes to go faster, that lane becomes the slowest lane.

Same thing in the supermaket. Your checkout line is too slow. So you move to the quicker line--and as soon as you do, it slows down and your realize you would have gotten out quicker if you had just stayed put.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do is nothing.

It makes you wish you had a method to foresee which problems to avoid. I thought moving created a change of problems. I still have nightmares and feel the need to sleep with the silver fork under my pillow(lol).

I have to say this... alot of times in relationships.... we run into situations like this... Here you have one relationship.... everything is moving forward however you have some problems that are workable.... and boom... something catches one's attention.... then BANG!! I like to call this... trying to build another house.... when you haven't finished home....
The green grass scerniero falls into place.. because alot of times we look for the easy escape route.... only to find it was a dead end....

Thanks ALL! You've given great examples of how we can easily sometimes be lured into pastures of promises, or green grasses to discover we are better to get some kind of focus of what on the other side of that green before we jump. It doesn't mean we won't take chances or make mistakes, but I think if we can learn that greener isn't always the better choice. Our own places may just need a little fertilizer. Comments were well received. I learn more each time from all of you.
