For anyone who takes the time to look at this conversation it is really edifying and enlighening.
They raised lots of great points. One is the simple fact that almost all black families have constant conversations about race, as John Legend said, mostly about being proud and maintaining your dignity in the face of the prejudice that is sure to come.
White families hardly ever talk about race--and when they do it is something along the lines of "we should be nice to everybody regardless of race."
But nothing beyond that.
I don't know how meaningful that would be.
Clearly, something is missing. And this CNN experiment points it out.
