I saw the link and I listened to it, but honestly I'm lost. It appears that the issue is more about how the school handled the situation and less about the little girls' hair care product.

The teacher and school should do some damage control and PR to backtrack the way the incident was handled. Also the teacher should have provided some documentation from her dermatologist that shows with absolute certainty that the product contains ingredients that she (the teacher) is sensitive to and made a call to the parent's of the child or spoken with the parent directly.

In any case, the delicate situation wasn't handled as well as it should have been.

@ Miisrael,

According to the video from the link, the child wasn't expelled from the school, but rather placed in a different class although allowed to do her honor's work there. It was the choice of the parent to let the little girl stay home pending the investigation from the lawyers. I suppose the child is embarrassed, but it appears that it more to do with the adults taking things, too far as usual.
