Am I the Only BIA Member Excited About the 2010 FIFA (Soccer) World Cup? I Feel So Alone...

My goodness the World Cup is starting tomorrow and I am feeling so excited about it especially since it is truly a World Event where every country in the world will be tuned it and not to mention that the U.S. Soccer team qualified! We will be playing against England who we gained our Independence from thus the reason for our July 4th celebrations every year. I have a question for you guys.

Here it is...Is it just me or are we not giving this super sport its fair shake? Where is the enthusiasm in the U.S. for this world event or do you think that American Football or American Basketball is where it is BIA?

Every sat/sun morning there are "soccer moms" all over my neighborhood.

they just not the type of moms that produce futbol champions

but Zinedine is coaching with the Algerian team---

and sAfrica has a large fan base for Algeria---

I've been following the NBA Finals Games and while I admit that I'm not much of a soccer fan I'll be sure to tune in to this soccer game...featuring OUR people!!!

Wow you guys should get on board, because this sport (soccer) is where its really at. People get all into it! I'm rooting for of course the US against England, but I'm going to be going for Italy because they won last time and they are really good. Sorry Ghana and Nigeria... better look next time.

This is the one sport I'm hoping to produce a International Soccer champion next to Pele. I never thought I would be saying that I'm going to be a soccer mom, but one with sense.

Jen, all "I" know about soccer is it is said to be the #1 world sport and seen by more people than base ball, foot ball and basket ball combined...

but, as change is very hard along with soccer has not been too long becoming a sport in high schools, ect. it is going to take time...so some body needs to get on the become a monkey on the backs of big time tv sponsors ( so to speak) and then, well you know what comes next...(smile)
