I do agree with you, but I also want to pigglyback on the tail end of this statement by saying that there is more to teaching our youngsters to "Just Say No to Drugs", but we need to be teaching them good decision making skills as well as effective coping skills.
I think this (coping skills) hits harder for men, because they are the least likely to reach out to someone to talk about what's bothering them so it is crucial for parents to engage our kids in activities that will help to reduce stress and always have a open door policy encouraging our girls and boys that they can always talk to us about anything.
Yes... anything (even that word that begins with the Big S... s*x)!
Jen: what a excellent interaction to this blog. Teaching good decison making skills. This gives a hand-holding support. How so often we need to hold hands and talk. Loved that!
