The Queen's Chair: New Neighbors Are Moving In

As I left for the library with my crew a few minutes ago, I saw a white and blue moving truck backing over my lawn and sighed. New neighbors were moving in and the girls and I looked at each other. What were we in for now?

For those who read this blog, you remembered what happened last time. Music playing til 3 in the morning. The hearse used as a moving truck. A host of people pounding on the side door at all hours. And the young father driving his "fly" ride who played his stereo system a bit too loud on a Saturday afternoon. The landlord eventually kicked them out. He lost money on the rental. Their check bounced. Never made good on it. The house was empty for eight months. He and his parents had to clean up the mess they made. And who knows when they moved out. I'm sure it was the middle of the night, again. That's what happens when you list your stuff on Craig's List.

All jokes aside, I wish he would sell the house rather than rent it out. A home owner cares about his community and is vested in it. S/he will take care of their property because it's theirs. Renters don't always do that. I don't want to trash on my lawn. I don't want wild parties. I don't need the headaches of insensitive neighbors.
