The problem with the ideal that the U.S. should mind their own business is that many other countries will not allow us to do that. Some of these countries want to use us for what they need and then toss us to the side when they feel we are not needed anymore. The U.S. can't win when it comes to many of these 3rd World countries. The President of Iran needs to seek psychiatric treatment.

Sister Jen, on this one I have to respectfully disagree. President Ahmadinejad is just as sane as President Obama.

Let me explain my last comment. Iran is Iran because of the British 100 years ago, followed by the Americans, in the imperialist tradition.

Here is something to wonder about, and may be seen as relevant to this discussion or not. But I think it is a small example of a pervasive and misplaced desire in this country that everyone should be just like "us". I saw a flier from my mom's church that the youth ministry is planning a trip to the Crow reservation and is asking for financial support. Now the Crows are a western tribe I believe, in any event I am sure they are not anywhere near Philly. So thousands will be spent to send these kids on a field trip across the country to make sure those poor Crow Indians have the opportunity to become good White American Baptists???

I don't have a problem with the Iranian President and his openness. He's just another Hilter in my opinion. He would make better use of his time and resources by helping to make peace agreements with Irsrael and the Palenstians rather than trying to make nuclear weapons. Dubai has started infiltrating ships that are questionable that may be taking nuke building supplies to Iran.

I honestly don't believe that everyone else should be like Americans, but many people in the third world do want to be Americans (I'm not saying all, but many want to have their piece of the American dream). The problem with many Americans is that we don't know anywhere outside of the States except for what we see on CNN and other American media outlets.

If no one realizes that the Iranian President is "mad" except me then I'll be the lone American who attests to this fact. He like Abacha was to his own Nigerian people. He's willing to do anything to meet his own agenda even if it neglecting what the citizens of the country want. Oh well~~~ we will see how the situation unfolds.

Again I don't support the Jewish people one way or the other except to pray for the peace of Israel (which includes both the Jewish and Palestianian people) as I am commanded to do so in the Bible.

I find it hard to believe that Israel is not a sovereign state (afterall didn't they win the war of 67 when all those Muslim nations came against them)? If that being the case aren't they entitled to the land?

Then again if Israel is illegal why then will they not recognize Palestine's right to sovereignty if they are guilty of the same? I do understand the reasoning that nuclear weapons offer some protection or insurance against other nations like the US who is the only country guilty of using a nuclear weapon.

It's just that I think its wrong to publicly say that another nation should be destroyed. I don't support Zionism nor do I think Israel is innocent as she pretends to be. I just think the entire situation is complicated by people who have terrorist ties with known terrorists. I do think Israel is guilty of treating the Palestinian people like step children, but at the same time violence begats violence.

Israel should stop the settlement building, Palestine should denounce Hamas, and the groups should select a leader to go to the table to talk about peace. Palestinian state should be recognized as well as all nations should get rid of its nukes.
