Is saying I'm sorry enough to patch the hurt? I have seen real life situations where "I'm sorry " didn't heal the hurt. The coping is difficult. I feel Black couples deal with cheating in a different way. It usually takes longer, and most time it ends. Then there are the risks...the revenge, the STD, the potential lead to injury or death of a mate. How do you feel about it do Blacks cope with unfaithfullness differently?

[Is it ever safe to cheat?]

I would answer that question it depends on the situation. Of course there are times where cheating is not only safe, but convenient say when a situation presents itself when there is no one else to bear witness to the act except you and the other person... no video recorders, no camaras, and no audio recording devices.

Although I don't advocate or condone infidelity, there are situations that make men and women more vunerable to cheating say a spouse who refuses to give their due benevolence to the other. I think that is a major set up for cheating to happen. Is it right? No, but is it right for the other spouse to with hold the goods from the other?

Personally I don't know whether Black couples deal any differently with hurt than any other ethnic group. Infidelity is infidelity across the board. It hurts and causes people to lose trust.

Jen sorry I took so long to respond to your comments. I do thank you. I don't really think the color line has a basis for how a person responds. Sometimes stero-typing can be misleading. How so easily it is to be cast into sterotypes. Sterotyping is almost like a relationship when it's gone bad.

Love,
