While you can legitmately make the argument that the NAACP has other issues to deal with besides bigotry and hatred in the Tea Party Movement. What you can't do is make it seem as if the NAACP is irrelevant and does nothing in Black Communities as some have in an effort to defend the Tea Party.

Thanks for the blog article at your aareports link, because I thought like the Tea Party stated that the NAACP is an old relic trying to be relevant again. I would like to see the NAACP focus on the plight of ALL minorities in this country rather than only African Americans. Many minority groups have similar challenges where disparity and racism is concered. The NAACP should restrategize and begin to think outside of their old sandbox so that they won't be accused of being racists and only helping one group (African Americans).

I was once Secretary of the NAACP in my city--President was Jewish and 1st Vice President was Japanese and 2nd Vice President was Hispanic.

come on jenFad---we are the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.....................................

@ Brother Rob,

I would like to respectfully disagree with you? In all these years NAACP hasn't closed the gap between racial and socioeconomic disparities, infact they have widened. I think that the National Association for Advancement of Colored People have failed in 2010. I'm looking to our leader President Baracka Hussein Obama for leadership~~ not the NAACP.

President Obama's strategy worked to get him elected (and is sure to get him re-elected); those NAACPs should stop playing around and get with President Obama's program for change (Change of their old outdated organization to include all minorities~~ National Association for the Advancement for Minority People NAAMP) that we can all believe in.
