Twin Bombings Kill 74 People In Uganda; Al-Qaida-linked Somali Group Claims Responsibility
KAMPALA, Uganda — Somalia's most dangerous al-Qaida-linked militant group claimed responsibility Monday for twin bombings in Uganda that killed 74 people watching the World Cup final on TV, saying the militants would carry out attacks "against out enemy" wherever they are.
Al-Shabab, whose ranks are swelled by militant veterans of the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, has long threatened to attack outside of Somalia's borders, but the bombings late Sunday are the first time the group has done so.
"We will carry out attacks against our enemy wherever they are," Rage said. "No one will deter us from performing our Islamic duty."
The Somali militants appear to have attacked sites in Uganda because the country contributes troops to the African Union-led peacekeeping force that protects Somalia's weak, U.N.-backed government.
The attacks outside the Somalia represent a dangerous new step in al-Shabab's increasingly militant path.
The death toll in Sunday's twin blasts rose to 74 on Monday, Ugandan officials said.

As American Citizens we realize that our Tax Dollars are presently being spent on the surveillance and containment of Somalia since the days of Our Dear President George Bush. And Our Military has rained down 2000 pound bombs on suspected American Problems in Somalia and that African Region.
We would think that any group traveling to Uganda from Somalia would have the best Surveillance America can provide; 24/7. We have been told by Our Dear Past Secretary of Defense over 8 years ago that this African, Islamic Global American Threat was just a "ragtail group of losers". We have reason to believe that any threatening or ragtail transmission from Somalia would be met with a 2000 or at least a 1000 pound bomb.
We know that the British are rabid fans of futbol or soccer in the USA and are know as the rowdiest fans the world over---they were eliminated early and have been contentious in loss----
As a theoretical thought would it be possible that a British national posing as a Beer Drinker infiltrated this bar in Uganda---set off a horrible and demonic charge to kill innocent human beings drinking and watching the World Cup Final and then a drunken colleague of his called into the BBC or "blackNews" and said,
" We are in a Rage and we did it uganda pub and we did it in the name of 8 Guinness bottles."
The British do have an accent and a drunken Brit probably has a nonCoherent accent on a cell phone.
We do pray that the perpetrators of this demonic act receive the capital punishment similar to any of those blown up by large explosives.
