News Alert: New York City Settles Sean Bell Police Shooting Case
The family of Sean Bell, a black man killed by police officers in Queens in 2006, have settled with New York City, with $3.25 million going to the estate of Mr. Bell. The city is paying an additional $3.9 million to two other men who were in a car with Mr. Bell and injured in the shooting.

You're welcome Sister Irma, but in my opinion what would have sent "the Right" message to the NYPD would have been to find either of the policemen guilty of murder or manslaughter. The money certainly will not bring Brother Bell back, but hopefully it will allow his children to go to the best "dang" universities in the land to become lawyers, doctors, and "indian chiefs".
