The Queen's Chair: President Barack Obama: On The View
I don't know if you saw this, but President Barack Obama was on The View. Barbara Walters came back from open heart surgery for this. Whoopi Goldberg was proud to introduce him and the President made history...the first sitting president to appear on a daytime talk show.
While fans cheered and Secret Service was out of sight...kinda of...I couldn't help, but think we are seeing more of him because mid-term elections are near. His hair is whiter than the last time I saw him. And no subject was off limits. He talked about his family, Chelsea Clinton's wedding (he joked that no one from The View would be invited to his daughters's weddings and added tht he was delighted boys had not enter the picture for Malia and Sasha as he flexed his shoulder blades) , his Ipod, his Blackberry, and he admitted he didn't keep up with pop culture. He knew Lindsay Lohan was arrested and why. He had no idea who Snooki was and he knew about Justin Beaver.
He talked about the economy, banking crisis, the oil spill, and the job situation. And the need to increase the number of jobs. He pointed out to Elizabeth Hassenbeck (I can't stand her) that before he was sworn, America had lost 750,000 jobs.No one talked about it.( Thunderous audience applause.)
And usual, the President did a good job. I just wonder how many of us actually listened to what he had to say.
