Sister Jen, this is a question I've been asking myself for some time now. Again, maybe it is a byproduct of the two party system?

Jen Fad Tuesday, August 10th 2010 at 11:42PM

Brother Steve,
I don't know what you mean when you say a two party system. Would you please explain? Thanks!

Steve Williams Wednesday, August 11th 2010 at 10:10AM

Sister Jen, most in this country choose either Republican or Democrat. It would help a great deal to not have to choose the lesser of two evils, but both established parties do everything they can to prevent the formation of a viable third party. They do this through ballot access laws and reduce our political process to something more like the Super Bowl or World Series.

Thanks for the clarification Brother Steve. I know it's all politics and it looks like if more Blacks go towards the GOP side that the present members will join the Tea Party movement.

Brother Clark
It would be difficult for me to agree with the GOPs policies whether I'm Black or White. I can't understand how Evangelicals are Republicans. It seems to me that it goes against Christianity u know feeding the poor and taking care of the poor. Oh well pretty much I think those folk are just big mouthed bigots hiding behind their religion or their prosperity get rich doctrines.

Sister Jen, just an aside. When you comment from Black Women Connect I can't easily link to your comment because it takes me there instead of BIA. I would join Black Women Connect but well... it sounds like it's for women.

As far as the topic of the blog, I will just say again I could never be a member of the GOP any more than I could be a Democrat. To me they both stink.

I know right! It's ashame that we are being held hostage by these the two party system. I understand ~~ the women here~~ some of them anyway have made comments about men being here, but you know anywhere women are there are bound to be men there, too trying to hook up in a relationship. I have no problems with that.

Well I just joined. I do see some familiar male faces so I guess I'm okay.

Steve Williams Saturday, August 14th 2010 at 5:12PM

And how are you Sister Jen? You seem more calm lately.

Jen Fad Wednesday, August 18th 2010 at 1:29PM

Hello there and I'm doing wonderful Brother Steve and thanks for noticing how peaceful I've been lately. (smiles) I've decided to make love and not war, because I'm getting too old to be fighting with grown folks. There's alot more to life than arguing and causing strife.

Sister Jen, I should have read this before I started that conflagration yesterday!
