I read the story.... well Juicy... I have to admitt... I can't be too critical... for me personally, a married man is off limits... too much drama... but with Tasia's situation, which she openly admitted... management was taking advantage of her because of her "lack" of comprehension skills, she can read... but understanding what one is reading is "null" and the responsibilitiy she had on her is overwhelming.. women mostly, have a tendency of wearing ourselves thin... trying to be superwomen... So some of us look for men, whom we believe with bring a little balance in our lives but that's not "always" the case.

Hopefully once she gets thru this... she will surround herself with positive/uplifting people whom will help guide her in what she needs to do. Her first priority is to her daughter and self... that's the biggest part of balance.

Poor Gurl...But I'm glad she is OK. I don't pretend to know the real story; but she was wrong and hopefully she will get through it first and consider it a lesson learned. Last but not least be the strong women we know.

Why be so sentimental when it comes to Black folk overdosing? She's lucky she didn't go into kidney failure taking those tylenol. Ha! Fantasia is a celebrity just like the late Anna Nicole was and Marilyn Monroe. When those ladies died ~~ the press ~~ reported Drug overdose. Anyway you are entitled to your opinions, but I am a nurse so therefore the authority on whether meds and drugs are synonymous. You have a nice weekend.

I totally agree with you regarding the child. Fantasia knows better afterall she grew up in the church and I'm sure her mother tried to warn her. Listen like my grandmothers says all the time when we were younger and even to the great great grandkids now~~ a hard head makes a soft behind.

Jen... I wondered the same thing!! Why was it an attempted suicide! I know women by nature have been designed and programmed to be strong... be the nurturer... be the care giver.... WE LOOK FOR LOVE... society says.. we are supposed to grow up get married and have our family.... and live happily ever after ... the end...

WELL it aint so... I have had some very difficult set backs in life.... I've taken a sleeping pill, along with a pain pill.... to numb my feelings... NOT an attempt to take my life. Fantasia is young... unfortunately she took the wrong combination of medications... MY take... when black folks attempt suicide.... there is no attempt... ITS done....

Fantasia is overwhelemd and she has a lot to sort out....

Yes... Jen... doctors prescribe meds-cocktails... all the time...

I know doctors prescribe contails and perhaps this is one reason the late Micheal Jackson isn't with us. We have to be really careful and make sure we read the warning labels on our meds before taking them. Fantasia is blessed to be still alive and hopefully she'll learn from this so that she doesn't send the wrong message to her young daughter.

Irma no... it goes both ways... married individuals... First i don't believe in cheating... or getting involved with married or common law married... nor men in committed relationships... I just don't believe a man who is involved with someone else can be there for me. I believe that there are certain things that are off limits and require restrictions...

Im not blaming Fantasia solely for what has happened and Im trying not to be too critical... well the story... real story... has to come from the parties involved.

@Jen... no that was not a cocktail that Dr... perscribed for MJ... that was a BOMB... did you read the chemicals found in his system... OMG.. that Dr. perscribed everthing from anti-depressants to pre operative sedation... that was unethical and just plane insane....

I think poor Tasia is the victim in the sense that she's not smart (learning disability) but hey she should have had good people around her. As far MJ I Sister Sister Cynthia said it~~ He had a bomb!
Oh well~~ I've learned that as African Americans and as women we have to be very proactive when it comes to the health care system. Alot times we don't get exactly what we should get, but Tasia's story will come out in the wash.
