I CAN AND I WILL vs. I CAN AND I DON'T
We all know that story of "The Little Engine That Could." Up that large mountain he kept saying: "I think I can"..over and over-- until finally he triumphed over the hill and continued on his next journey after he succeeded the climb. Even though this is a child's story it's very much applicable to the young and the old.
There are certain situations you may have that you can, and will find the will to complete and do. .. And that's versus things you are capable of doing that you never do at all! If you are refusing things you know you can do; you could be avoiding and leaving out a unique expereience of learning and knowledge. No, you won't be able to do everything! But, you also will never know if you never give it a try. That's taking a challenge!. Life is loaded with challenges isn't it? Challenges can be stumbling blocks and stepping stones, most times it really how you view them. Are you facing a challenge(s)? The only way to face up with a challenge is to START with the first step to act on it. Eyes closed --or opened...you go! That's an act of Faith....
Ponder on this saying...
"I am only one; but still I am one."
"I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;...I will not refuse to do something I can do."--HELEN KELLAR
She knew how to see a lot of things!
You know me ....I can see blowing out bubbles!...

Saint Jake it's really not so deep...more so just finding motivation to a challenge. Often so many people in general , but particulary many young Blacks feel less motivated to just use acts of faith...and just go! They tend to want to stay on the land and fear walking on the water. That faith can allow them to overcome challenges. Perhaps this blog will give some encouragement and motivation to a reader.
