The Queen's Chair: It's Friday the 13th
I know some hotels don't have a 13th floor. Some people don't like the number 13. They avoid it as much as possible. And use this number as an excuse for why they can't do things like work, go out to lunch, or schedule things. They think something bad will happen to them.
I think it's all in your head. I've been told not to walk under ladders, not to have a black cat cross your path, break a mirror, step on a crack, or to thwart evil carry a lucky rabbit's foot. I'm quite sure that if a rabbit could talk, he or she would tell me having their missing foot isn't so lucky, but rather painful.)
All I know is that I'm not doing anything special on Friday the 13th. No four-leaf clover. No shaking salt over my shoulder. It'll business as usual for me.
I can tell you that anyone born on the 13th has to learn every method possible to ward off the negative superstitions that other people have about the 13th falling on a Friday. I have never had problems with the number 13, because my birthday is on the 13th. In fact the number 13 has been a lucky number for me because I don't give it a negative thought. I always carry a written prayer with me because of the old saying "Don't die without a prayer", but that's normal for me. Have a great day!
