Federal funding for stem cell research has been put on hold and has many scientists and researchers left in a somewhat limbo state because of this recent disablement to receive funds. Researchers claim that because much more research is necessary in order that many cures to illnesses and diseases and haltering of federal funding may lead to never having cures. The Federal funding is brought by a halt of a bill passed in 1996 stating that no human embryo is to be used for any type of research purposes. Presently, this places a strain of the stem cell progression.

Thousands that believe that human embryo is considered as a human life. This latest news allow supporters of pro life groups a degree of hope of in their missions to save human life in any type of form. These groups feel confident in the decision to cut federal funding in such type of research. There are presently hundreds of embryos already in use for the stem cell projects. Scientists are still maintaining that the research is vital to cures of genetic and other related cures for future generations to come.

This can be a moral and social subject.

It's a catch 22, isn't it. Abortions are occurring everyday in the Unites States with fetus being chopped up and thrown away, but none of those fetus-embryos can be used for study to save a life. While I'm prolife, I think its sad that those babies have died in vain without ever contributing to humanity. It's sad.

I'm pro-life but I can understand it is somewhat of a catch-22. For me, I guess being that it is a catch, I can only feel that human life is more vital, and saving lives should be the first thing, but research has it's benefits as well to save existing lives with cures. All around it's effects both beginning of life the embryo, and saving life of those with fatal diseases...to live longer It's a tough.

Abortions are sad. I pray without ceasing in all these matters.
