T.I.'s Arrest May Cost Him Axe Deal Worth Millions
Axe, the men's body fragrance line, and T.I. inked a $10 million deal earlier this year. The 29-year-old entertainer-actor would be performing one-night-only concerts or exclusive shows that would celebrate the mega launch of Axe Music, the latest initiative by the body spray, shower gel and shampoo producer.
TMZ reports that Axe sponsors are "troubled by T.I.'s arrest" and have been forced to review "our promotional activities" with the rapper.
When the deal was made, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, vowed to his deal makers that he would remain on the straight and narrow and stay out of trouble. Oftentimes, contracts made with artists contain moral clauses, meaning that if an artist breaks certain behavior stipulations all bets are off immediately.
Looks like it might be curtains for T.I. as far as Axe is concerned.
