Racism against African Americans ? HOW DO YOU BIA FEEL ABOUT IT ?

The period from 1890 to 1940 is known as the Jim Crow era in the history of prejudice against the African Americans. The Jim Crow laws were a series of state and national laws, enacted in the United States that segregated all the public facilities for the whites and the blacks. Millions of African Americans were brutalized, killed and frightened to death for voting and taking formal education, during these years. The concept of 'lynching', where the whites openly 'punished' the black population, was a rampant practice. White people would publicly hang black people for petty reasons, all over the country. The 'America's Black Holocaust Museum' in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has a collection of photographs and other evidences of the plight of African American populace, over the years. The first half of the 20th century also witnessed mass migration of the African American population from the disturbed Southern states to the North and the mid-west. The search for a better and a peaceful lifestyle, compelled millions to take this migratory step.
Many African Americans fought for the US cause in World war I and World War II. Their exemplary service led to the desegregation of the US Armed Forces in July, 1948.

The African American cause received great fillip during the American Civil Rights Movement which culminated with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which banned discrimination in employment, labor unions and public accommodations. It was at the threshold of this movement, that Martin Luther King Junior delivered his famous 'I Have a Dream' speech from the steps of the grand Lincoln Memorial. Political and economic rights were soon granted to the blacks. In 2000, there were 8,936 black office holders in the United States. According to Forbes magazine, Oprah Winfrey was the richest African American of the 20th century.

Perhaps the greatest achievement in the history of African American stand for justice was the rise of Barack Obama, the first black presidential nominee, of the Democratic Party. He went on to become the first African American man to win the most coveted office seat in the world. Barack Hussein Obama is now the 44th President of United States of America. The tears that trickled down the face of many African Americans, at his swearing-in ceremony, perhaps, signify the joy of victory against racism which has hopefully ended once and for all!

Hello to All,

The ignorant blogger (David Johnson) asked the question to Black Americans how do we feel about racism against African Americans.

Well, as a Black American I have not known of any Africans such as the Nigerian community in Houston, Texas protesting discrimination during the Jim Crow era up to the present day. On the other hand, Black Americans are the ones that experience racism during the Jim Crow era up to the present day. I believe that it is very important that Black Americans know who they are. Knowing who you are is a sign that we are intelligent people, am I right. Presently, Black Americans are just as ignorant as could be!

I have repeatedly told you ghettobilly Negroes that Black Americans are a different kind of Blacks from African Americans. A Black American is a person whose origin began in this country of White America. An African American is person born from African parentage that has become an American citizen by naturalization. The significant wedge that separates Black American from African American was the breeding process that went on between the Whites from England and the African slaves they purchased from the slave trader over a period of 300 years. The breeding process continued even after slavery was outlawed. In other words, Whites were still producing Black Americans even after slavery was outlawed. At the end of the Civil War, there were no Africans in White America. There were only Black Americans. Africans did not fight in the Civil War. Black Americans fought in the Civil War, knuckleheads. Black Americans are not from Africa since no Black Americans existed in Africa before slavery in White America. Am I making any sense?

Incidentally, I had an opportunity to explain what I have just said to a prominent professor of Winston-Salem University of African-American history. When I finished she looked at me dumbfounded and angry, but said nothing. She just walked away from me.

Why do you ignorant Negroes still referred to yourselves as African Americans? The only sensible answer is the cause you Negroes are extremely ignorant.

Now, let us think about it for a moment. How in hell could we be a sovereign people and not know who we are? We cannot until we know who we are. So, informing you ignorant Negroes is a part of my works that you all insist that I show you my works. Every time I communicate with you all my works is evident, but you all do not have the intelligence to see it yet.

Tell me what you think.
