Singer Aretha Franklin's son was severally beaten at a gas station. Eddie Franklin, 52, was brutally attacked on Monday night in Detroit.
Aretha Franklin's son, Eddie Franklin was allegedly assaulted by two men and a woman reports People Magazine. Details of the beating are scarce. According to reports the woman was around 19 years of age, and one of the men had dred locks. All three were African American.
An unidentified person helped Eddie to the hospital where a police report was filed. Eddie Franklin is the son of Aretha Franklin, one of the most recognized singers of current time with 20 Grammy Awards. In 1987 she became the first woman inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame.
Aretha Franklin gave birth to Eddie when she was just 16 years old. Eddie has an older brother, Clarence, who was born when Aretha was just 13 years of age. She has never identified the father of either. Perhaps one of her biggest songs is "Respect" which is known widely around the world.
