POEM: THE MILLION MAN MARCH

The Million Man March

Here we go again some may say
Another scam for unsuspecting prey
But wait before you conclude
I have some testifying to do

You see I too was of the same thinking
Until I begun to start linking
The pro and cons
Which led me on

A search for the time according to scripture
Now I am starting to see the big picture
The theme is reparations
For the labor from a mighty Nation

A Nation of people whose ancestors
Cries by reason of their taskmasters
Is Gods promise to their successors

To look to Him for great substance
And He shall judge the bearer of affliction
These are words from a biblical prediction

God has clear signs for those who care to reflect
Only Satan speaking in you will cause you to neglect
The time and what must be done
Waiting on some other one

Other than you and I to do something for self
Might as well put that thinking on the shelf
Time and condition is what gives the permission
To ask for payment for ancestral submission

Although we know that the afflicters will not concede
They have too much pride and greed
Nonetheless we must have their no on record indeed

There is something brewing in the air
Causing pauses and stares
The call to prayer is beautiful
However the call for unity is spiritual

Whatever the indifferences
We all have had hit and misses
Success is ensured no need to stall
Come one come all
And watch Goliath fall

Seeing such diversity
Coming from all kinds of communities
Answering a call out for Unity
How is that not divinity?

One thing is for sure
You may come as you are
But you will not stay as you are
When you accept your Nature
You will find out thats not how God made ya

The Million Man March had its critic
Due to the 95 statistics
We live and we learn
Now we will see what we have earned

What a perfect time to witness God
Wake up do not nod
Because what we long for will finally appear
May it be at last within this year!
