The Queen's Chair: Are You Using Your Gift?
Well, are you? We have all this modern technology: Facebook, the Internet, and blogs to name a few. What are you using them for? Are you working a job you hate to pay bills? We send jokes and information. Do you pass along God's Word to those in need? Do you read or know your Bible?
There's reason I'm asking. In the Bible, we are suppose to love our neighbors as we would ourselves. It just ironic to me how modern technology is used to hurt people: hacking accounts, stealing money, violating people's privacy, bullying kids, creating scandal and rumors, identity theft...I could go on.
Inside of using modern technology to hurt others, let's use it to spread the good news. That is God's good news. You can't teach what you don't know. Start reading your Bible for words of hope and encouragement. Turn to it in times of crisis. Celebrate and thank the man upstairs in times of joy. Even if you share God's Word with one person, it's one more step in saving mankind. Let's save our world one person at a time.
Faith is knowing in your heart what you can't see. Just use your gift and keep it real.
