Why Blacks are committing Suicide
Although the media is focusing on Gays suicides, fact is, its an epidemic across racial/ethnic groups. Blacks committing suicide was unheard of when I was growing up, is now increasing at an alarming rate. What has changed? The more we assimilate into white, western culture, morals & norms the more we loss our on souls.
The usual reasons are given as to why people commit suicide; depression, mental illness, bullying and so on. What is more depressing than slavery, oppression and injustice? Blacks have always had these hurdles to overcome but instead of killing ourselves we would unify, with the spiritual community taking the lead. Today Black preachers, with the exception of a few, have given up and give in. We are a spiritual people by nature. Western, white society is material by nature. By assimilating and living a western way of 'life' we are in essence committing suicide.

We have greatly underestimated why our children must be taught a knowledge of self and culture. The more we integrate or assimilate into the ways of the white man we become just as lost as he is.
