THE RICH MAN AND LAZARUS
ENRICHMENTS FROM THE WORD:
..and he became the beggar
SALUTATIONS IN LOVE!
We wonder many times how we can become rich in men's wealth? We think of having lots of money and a life of luxuries. But the Word of God offers us in one the parables of Jesus Christ that world worth can send us to a tormented place after death if we are not using riches obediently.
THE PARABLE OF THE RICH MAN DEMONTRATED:
Using the beggar Lazarus who sat at the rich's man gate and begged, the glorious rich man gave him nothing. Lazarus also being covered with ailing sores did die. In the parable, Jesus demonstrates that the rich man neglected the poor. That the rich man had a good life for himself and also died. The parable continues in that the rich man was allowed to see Lazarus sitting beside Abraham in the far distance...began to call for Abraham to him begging him to help him. Where he begged for just .."a dip of his finger".. in water just to cool his tongue. However, Abraham reminded the rich man that he had enjoyed his glory in his lifetime, whereas Lazarus was poor and ill. Now, the comforted one was Lazarus-- and the tormented one was the former rich man.
The division had been placed that even, Abraham could not leave from his place to go to aid the rich man's cry. So the rich man pleaded to send Lazarus then who could warn his five brothers not to come to his place of torment. Abraham replied that having Moses and the Prophets to warn them, they would and did not listen. For sending someone from the dead they would still not listen or repent. In this parable Christ was also using and example that he would also arise from the dead and many would not believe on him.
Today, you will find that Christ and True believers are attacked because the Word teaches Jesus arose from the dead. Yet, many find his resurrection to be false. Never believing, never acknowleging the power of God and never giving glory to the sacrifice upon the cross. True believers understand and believe in the death and the coming of life again. Yet many are presecuted because they believe. The rich man conditions were reversed and he became the beggar. The real enrichment one can truly recieve is through obedience and love. What beggar is sitting at your gates? The way to to attain richness that is eternal is through the enrichments of the Word.
Therefore you should, read, study, hear and obey to know for yourself.
"He said to him, "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced...even if someone rises from the dead..."
