There has never been such an excellent actor during 1960's and 70's as the renowned Sidney Poitier. His movie are greats! If you haven't seen them --now's your chance to get your Sidney rolling your Halloween Sunday..! While serving out the candies...take a look at Sidney. Some of fablous films have been upgraded to Blue Ray and you can find many of his greats on YOU Tube.
Sidney was born in Miami, Florida in 1927. His parents were Bahamian which gives some explantation to his name. His early career started in the 1940's. Working his great talent of acting, Sidney went on to win an Academy Award for his superior role as Mr. Tibbs in "The Heat of the Night" Later, which followed a sequel of "They call me Mr. Tibbs!"

OK...I love this blog because you are talking about the great Sidney Poitier. I am a movie fan and curated black film festivals in my hometown until I started giving birth to my kids. I begin my Saturday mornings usually with a movie. Last year, I spent a holiday weekend watching a whole bunch of his movies. It was a love fest. I admire him as an actor and an orator. Thanks for this.
