RELIGIOUS QUARRELING STIRS UP DIVISION

There's really no need to quarrel about religion at all. An individual has his/her own belief, it doesn't need to be the belief of anyone else. To try and make it so is to seek support for one's ego. Also, there is no threat to examine the beliefs of others, unless one's ego is fragile. Same goes with history. History should be treated as a science, not merely to find/write the history to support one's belief and burn the rest.

I believe in a Creator and want to learn everything I can about my Creator. I don't care what the source is, and I don't need to convince anyone else concerning what I believe about the Creator. I will however share the research I have done, but that's the limit of it.

Oh, and there is no harm in speculation, but just be sure to recognize it as speculation, nothing more.

This is why I never try to convert anyone. Speculation isn't a firm basis for conversion.

Yes, I agree with your comment... As it re-interates that one religion or faith should be based on how to serve and worship God. I am eager to learn more of the Creator and feel learning more about him is essential to a corrective service. Each person should develop their own relationship with God. When there is quarreling about which religion is right boggles men and women with which way to take. Mainly I think Adam one will have to eventually seek God with a real realtionship and not followings of men.

Essentially my commentary is a aimed at how a person(s) should be concerned with the destiny of thier souls --in that are known by God. Rather the quarreling of faiths and followings of religions. It is good to know more, but I also believe that God has power to reveal all things to men in their thoughts.

Miisrael..your take on this subject is commendable. If we can just go on the base measurements for success of a nation of people would be fine with me. Lets use one parameter...a growing economy. OK, any nation of people with a growing economy is successful. Another parameter, say rule of law..OK, any nation with a growing economy and has an established rule of law is successful. There are many other parameters. These are all parameters that are not subject to religion. Another parameter say is..land of their own. OK, any nation of people that has land of their own; a growing economy and an established rule of law is successful. I am very fine with speaking in those terms. It takes education for that, though....because when objectivity rules against a nation of people they get defensive and resort to religous bashing.

Jamal bashing has never brought any unity to any people. If fact, it's more the header of dividing nations. In a general terms people minds are not truly obedient to God. Divided by faiths, religions causes resistance. Generally indicating a divided house cannot stand together. One must have as our President stated "some common ground" bashing faiths and religions and beliefs is an on-going battle to conquer. This work must begin with a person's self service to our Creator. The sad historical record shows how the "My Way Is Better" Syndrome has brought nothing but conflict, violence, misery and destruction.

We don't need any more of it.

Now that advances in media and technology has brought the Global Village together so that an event in one city, in one community can be broadcast around the world in seconds, we are more aware of the many world religions than ever before.

It used to be true that one of the the main functions of religion was to gain converts and grow. That was the time when each individual followed the religion and culture of his immediate village or community and when contact with other religions was a foreign and strange experience.

That is not true anymore.

Now, it seems to me, the main task of religion--and I mean any religion--is to help us all find ways to live together in PEACE.

If we don't the consequence, as we have already seen from history, is conflict, violence and more misery.

We need to respect each other's faith. PERIOD.

Okay, we got religion under control. Next up: politics.
