POEM: WHAT HAVE WE BECOME?

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME?

Whatever happened to the good old days.
The days where you weren't skinny or fat,
When you could wear what you wanted to wear,
and nobody would judge you.

When anything and everything matched.
When guys talked to girls to have fun,
and not to just grab a good f***.
When everybody liked everybody,
there was no gossip about nobody.

What happened to the days
When there was no ridicule.
When if someone was having a bad day,
you gave them a hug and suddenly
all their pain went away.

When you could go to your parents for anything.
When you could go a single night without being in fear.
In fear of your life. In fear of growing up.
In fear that tomorrow, anything and everything could change.
In fear that maybe when you wake up, you won't be you anymore.
