Obesity Among African American Women: A black woman's view
Check out this article from J.E. Ward a black woman who was once small and now has become bigger due to pregnancy and bad eating habits. She keeps it very real and talks about why black woman have issues with weight, why it's accepted in black communities, and the real harm that being overweight is doing to black woman.

I didn't think the article was an actual article, but more like a page out of her personal diary. Having said that, I think obesity is a problem among all Americans and this doesn't exclude other ethnicities. We need to give up the supersizing of meals and think portion control as well as getting out of the house for activity.
