SAFE IN DADDY'S ARMS....This survey says....
This survey was conducted with Black American Males all ages who are Fathers from Memphis, Tennessee.
This is what Memphis Dads said when I asked this survey question:
Did you witness the birth of your child/children during labor and delivery?
When that bundle of joy was being delivered I found that those Memphis Fathers were honest.
5% said NO ..they didn't witness the birth as they chose to opt out. These small percentage of daddys said they couldn't bare the thought of seeing a live birth happen.
5% said THEY DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE..they saw the birth, but it was totally due to sudden situations-- stating that
there was not a choice for them since the birth came quickly without much waiting time.
90% said YES..they witness the birth of either one or all of their children and discovered a total eye-full. Some stated it made them better fathers and that they bonded better with the newborn.
Those from the 90% group some 30% said they actually participated in the total delivery.
That's it...so Fathers be good your sons and your daughters too.
Make that bond last a lifetime.
