Wow, what did I miss while in slumber. Sista Irma, thanks for your uplifting words in this posting. It feels good to know that a sista in the struggle feels the goodness you have in your heart for your people and has your back, which only makes me determined to do more.
@Sista Jen,(these are all my opinions, do not be offended) I feel that you feel you have been slighted in some way, and you retaliate with cynical remarks. You miss-stated or misconstrued (again my opinion) what the Goddess said. The Goddess was correct “For the record... not all people are God's people”.
We are all of God’s, created in his image. Adam was created by God, but look what he did. He caused sin to enter in, so if there are sinners in the world, than those sinners obvious can’t be God’s people unless redemption comes into play. AMEN!
I struggle everyday in my walk with God, but I am a new creation in him and my vow is to strive for perfection everyday in my walk and to walk in the path he has directed for my life.
A person can be Christian, Catholic, NDB, Muslim etc and still be a child of God and still be proud of their race and want what’s best for theirs. We should be so privileged to have any and all generations involved in the movement. The facts is we would not know what we know now, had it not been for those who have gone before us, that continue to fight and tell the story, so respect should be at the forefront of our minds. Having fun at the expense of others is not fun, but a vindictive act of hate, as I apologized to you if I had offended you in any shape, form or fashion, but your offense is, you did not offer the same! So let us walk in peace my sista and get back to agreeing to disagree. Peace and Blessings!

Irma is referring to the fact that she persuaded me to send a copy of my book ON THE WINGS OF THE WIND to the the President and Mrs. Obama. The first lady sent me back an acknowledgement so I know they have received it. Who knows if they will ever actually read it.

The site screws up sometimes, I've been noticing.

Sometimes comments are not deleted by anyone. Sometimes they don't show up, sometimes they then show up later and then they are sometimes out of order.

I haven't heard back from sister Anita, but this is another problem I have with the site. I used to get email notifications of others' comments on blogs I have commented on, but I don't anymore. So I have to go through the laborious process of scanning the comment list, and I'm sure I sometimes miss replies to my comments. I'm going to the other blog now. Luv ya too!

But now I can't find the blog, though I can see the title.

I am so glad we are an oral leatning people, because Siebra's poems have not even beeN published and it is a part of our history that is in teh hands of three generations and our president.
