Recently my ex-boy friend whom I dated for almost four years found me on facebook. While we were dating the relationship was Great! we actually should have never broken up, but we were young and I wanted to move on, and I have lived to regret ever leaving him. Now 22 years later I am 45 years old divorcee, and he? his wife died about a year and a half ago. He claimed to have been looking for me for a little while, in the mean time he started dating another Woman. Things have been really great talking with him almost everyday on the phone for hours(I moved away, the relationship is long distance) recapturing all the good times we shared in the past, and the passion seems to still be there. Its been a month now and he says he wants to be with me, and he is willing to make all the necessary changes save breaking it off with the other Woman. He says she was there when he needed her and he said it will take a little time to break it off with her. I want to believe him, but I dont! Because if I wanted another Man I would drop him too quick! He is a very nice guy, should I give him more time? Am I seeing this all wrong? I realize he didnt have to even tell me about her, but he is an honest guy, however I dont like playing games. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE SHOULD DO ??????

I wouldnt get involved with a man who is already attached. In these situations we need to listen to our Heads and not not Hearts..which you seem to be doing! You should let him know..that you two can try again ONLY when he is a single and avail. Plus, its only been a month...give him another two months and if hes still not single...then I do believe it will be best for YOU to move on with your life and leave him in the past. Just remember...if he liked you as much as much as he claims..he would pursue you once he was a single man. Hes actually got a nerve to say he needs to keep the other woman there....kind of suggests hes ensuring he has some form of back up plan. Also suggests..he may not be that into you!!

You are to vulnerable right now and obviously over looking some important issues,if you read your own letter there are some things that should stand out to you as red flags about you entering in a relationship with this guy. both of you are having a temporary moment where you want to see what would have been, but maybe it is better to enjoy your memories of each other and let it go, first if he was meant to be with you he wouldnt have someone else in his life, second why would he just end his relationship with someone so easily for you? that nice image just went out the window, third honesty require that you tell all parties involve, you know but does she...you are already in the game...maybe it is not time for you two to be together and you should just wait and let his other relationship run its course and he should too, then you dont have to compromise what you want in your own relationship....and you will respect each other at the end of the day, at the rate you two are going you are going to loose the qualities that you see in each other.it will get lost in the thick of things....that always happen in a triangle type situation..Good luck

Dear Re-Connected! Sounds very tempting especially since yall had something good going.it sounds like hes testing you to see how far you let him go. You answered it yourself. if he really wanted to be with YOU, actions speak louder than words. dont get played because of your history with him. he may be in your past for a reason. if hes not willing to let her go who knows if he would be truly honest with you or her. be careful & I pray you do whats best for YOU

Those comments from people are wack. Stop, Look, & Listen is what I would say... if he's willing to double cross the other lady, he'd do a triple cross if the opportunity arose. Hello?!
