Tempers have flared in Nigeria as efforts to register voters for an upcoming general election led to public protests. The general and presidential poll is scheduled for April across Africa's most populous nation. But the drive to register the country's nearly 80 million eligible voters has not been easy, with reports of long lines at registration centres and faulty equipment.
