Journalists attempting to cover unprecedented unrest in Egypt reported being beaten, arrested and harassed by security forces and police for a second day Thursday, leading to sharply limited television coverage of the protests.

Various news outlets -- including the BBC, Al-Arabiya, ABC News, the Washington Post, Fox News, Al Jazeera and CNN -- said members of their staffs had been attacked or otherwise targeted. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch also reported that staffers were detained.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), a New York-based advocacy organization, said late Thursday it had recorded 24 detentions, 21 assaults and five instances of equipment having been seized in the past 24 hours. A popular Egyptian blogger was among those who reported being

Rich, you know me. We are acting like we have not been at warS in that region ofr over 10 years therefore since these reporters are so use to reporitn mass killings by bullets in and out of our public schools they are now falling apart or is it them being in shock the Muslims refuse to show just how violent they are for real????

I was just channel surfing cabl enews networks and who do I see but Palin giving a speech at a president Regan affair and she was taking about how bad this administration is for wanting more spending and bigger government...and it pissed me off because of just seing her out from her rock.lol (smile)
