PRESIDENT OBAMA'S $3.73-trillion, 216-page budget for FY 2012 came off embargo at 10:30 a.m. Today
--A senior administration official, briefing reporters last evening: "This budget is the game plan to win the future ... There's going to be a big discussion on spending in this town over the coming weeks and months ... [T]hat conversation will begin in earnest with the presentation of our budget tomorrow -- with an optimism and a belief that we can work with Republicans to come to conclusion. We obviously don't agree with everything that's in the initial cuts that they've put forward.
They're not going to agree with everything we put forward tomorrow. But we think we can come together to get something done here. ... [I]n the reform element of the budget, ... we are applying the Race to the Top model across the budget in a whole host of ways -- to make things competitive, to drive reform and results, which builds off of the great success we've had with that program in the education sphere in the last two years."

Sister Irma,
Never ask a question that you have your mind made up. I'm really upset with some of the budget cuts that affect poor working class people, but that is neither here nor there at this point, because the working class is always the ones who bear the burden of holding the country up while the weathy get wealthier.
President Obama has to tread a fine line when it comes to certain things now that the House has been lost, but then again he had to tread that same fine line with his own party being maj in the same House, didn't he? American Politics is truly something unique is alls I can say. Thanks again for your comments.
