The decision is ours but it belongs to you...
Not too old...dreds are for all ages. You can give it try even if it's just for a change.
& who hasn't shown vanity at one time or another just strive to be pure in heart.
thanks yall I really don't like it...the platts sticking out everywhere!! This is a hard one
LOL...You can get the dreads trimmed you know!!!
they are literally only inches now! Trim to what!! I wonder how this the dreads will effect my business prospects...There are loads of predjudice already!! Do folks with dreds get return calls during job interviews...change that to do Black men get those opportunities?
I don't see anyone...black men with dreds on these pages.
My son wears twists (I don't want them to lock because It's expensive trying to maintain that style) BUT.... I see it everyday... My Professor wears them and he pulls them back .... OMG!!! I luv it!!
I know professional men who have dreds... and women as well.... as long as they are neat, kept up and looks good... NO problem. Afterall, we are living now in a time of diversity. And different ethnicities are around us ..... A Lawyer with dreds? A school teacher with dreds? Astronaut with dreds? Pharmacist? Engineers.... I've seen them all....
I see a certain confidence with the people Im around who wear ((natural)) hair styles... It's like... Im brining not only my culture... but my intelligence, my abilities in leadership, my tenacity, experience.... HAIR/DRESS/LOOKS don't get the Job!!! It's what you have to offer.... and that's what you focus on!
oh!! let me add this one for you.... NOW had you asked about TATOOS... I would immediately say Hell No!
ok i'll let them grow a little more...
now... I bet you look nice wit em'.... ;D
