Once again, Rachel Maddow does an amazing job to bring informed clarity to a complicated issue. This is no joke. It will effect the future of every American whether you are in a union or not.

Thanks, Irma!
When I was teaching in the NY public schools I was proud to be my UFT delegate. I know how important Unions are to working people. Without the protection of a union, workers would be totally trampled on, abused, misused and disrespected.

Even with the dire political consequences for Democrats, ordinary working people face far deeper consequences. This is HUGE!!

Mozell:

Sad but true. The only solution is to vote them out again!

Everyone should keep in mind that the policies estabilsihed by those in power will effect everyone in the country for a generation. So we need to be very careful and mindful about our vote.

Rich, I do believe the union heads have learned their lessons about greed and selling out to the highest bidders,as in not fighting for those union jobs to not be outsourced as they did and only bgan to fight for them not being outsourced much the same as closing the barn door after all of teh stock has excaped when they fought and won in not letting that major airplne building contrct to be outsourced.

But, Rich as it seem we in this country are now willing to face up to how we have neglected our own best self interest...we will have a better future in the long term and less need for war and maybe even less division by race, creed, skin color and class warfare in our country...WE GET ANOTHER CHANCE TOLIVE UP TO THE NAME OF A GREAT NATION. Actually, as I wonder if teh governor of New Jersey was the first governor to get this ball rolling as far as denying union jobs as building taht tunnel would have required and because he became so popular the other governors decided to up it one more notch?!?

I heard the end (on CNN) of this union backing revolts has now moved to the state of Virginia, but did not get the whole story on this...but it is good to see Americans taking their government back. lol (smile)
