REVOLUTION IN CAIRO: PBS SPECIAL REPORT

Siebra Muhammad · Wednesday, February 23rd 2011 at 3:19PM · 504 views

This aired last night on PBS. I highly recommend viewing it. There was filiming of the moment-by-moment events from the protesters perspective as all hell was breaking loose in Egypt. This program also takes a look at The Muslim Brotherhood.

One thing that struck me is how the protesters stopped to say their prayers in the midst of clashing with the police in the streets (as well as other times). As soon as the prayers were over, they picked up right where they left off. Powerful!

The unity displayed by the people was a sight to see. It reminded me of how our people would unite and protest during the civil rights era.
