What's Up Everyone?

· Tuesday, March 8th 2011 at 5:12PM · 327 views
It's been some time since I've been on this site, but since I got a friend request on here, I decided to write. :)

I wish this site could have a status update like Lightship Beacon or Facebook so I wouldn't have to ask a question in a blog, haha!

Are there any photographers on here? I'm currently taking an introduction to darkroom photography. My sole focus in college is photography. Leaning toward fashion photography and street photography.

Well, I hope you all have an awesome week... Until I post again! :D

Hi Symone, great to hear from you! I'm an old school photographer, lots and lots of experience developing B&W film and prints. I'm glad to hear they are still teaching darkroom. And my subject interests are the same as yours, plus landscape.

Hey Symone! I think i sent you a friend request.. but I am also into photography. Photography is my first love, I want to some day have my own Photography Studio. I have done some fashion photo shoots in the past...those are my favorite to do. I am currently thinking about doing some fantasy photo shoots in the future.

Hello Sister Brown. I hope all is going well with you and thanks for sending us some love. ((wink-wink))

Symone, there is no telling how long it will be before darkroom photography is extinct. Enjoy it while it lasts, because it cannot be equaled in many respects by modern photography. As far as landscape photography, I guess because I love composition, and I have a little more time to think. Though that is not completely true, because that essential element, the light, is often fleeting.

Do be careful of your hands though and always wear gloves when using the chemicals. I learned this lesson the hard way.

Hello Symone! You are very inspiring! Good to hear you're hanging in there. Rewards await you and perhaps are already abounding you. Everything I hope for you is full of greatness!
Love,
MIIS
