ROBONAUT R2 UNBOXED LIKE OPENING A MUMMY....

NASA astronauts at International Space Station took to the unopening of a box with a strange containment, well perhaps not strange isn't the word but it was a little different. When they opened the box it was discovered there was nothing inside. Pulling back all the foam and padding a controller at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL was quoted as saying "It's like unearthing a mummy." Minutes later the large life size robot was already partically assembled without legs was found waiting in front of the work station . Robonaut is other wise called R2 which is similar sound to the Space Wars robot's name RD-D2 was awaiting for its full tests, activation and commands. R2 has been in charge of controlling the space station. The first project for R2 is be tested for his perfomance in weightlessness. This is the very first humanoid robot to be launched into space. Future ventures for R2 will be that as an astronaut's helpler. Right now he hasn't any legs but officals of NASA said his legs will arrive some time next year.
Another R2 which is an earth bound model spent the day at the Smithsonian Instituional's National Museum performing demonstration to visiting children.
