I feel very similar to facing natural disasters as there is little to nothing I can do about them. The only effect I show is appreciating every moment and not taking in worry of my future. I remain calm and instill God within me. I pray and watch...and watch and pray. The effect has caused me to become a more spirtually devoted person and to serve others best I can everyday. Great story Irma Girl. I appreciate that from you.

Of course catastrophic events like the one that just took place in Japan has an effect on how I view my life, in this world, at this time. However, what I've noticed is that the system of politics that plays a major role in everyone's daily life seems to feel that the business as usual syndrome continues... In my view when God shows us signs that say the world is crumbling around us we would be unwise not to acknowledge it.

I believe the worst natural disaster I have ever been in directly was a hurricane called Hazel. I believe I was about 11 years old. So many homes, business places and things were harmed by winds and by falling trees. But, at that younge age all that was on my mind was we did not have to go to school so I was happy.lol

NOw as an adult I can appreciate fearing them enough to get prepared for the worst and to pray for the best.(smile)

Malcom, do you mean the earth quake and tsunmi or the nuclear plant, because the nuclear plant I see as greed made, ot nature.

And, if I may add a lot of our new earth quakes (in China) were caused by mankind...when you hear of earth quakes in Claunga, Ca. (which I am sure is misspelled) and a major one in Chian not too long ago were created because of redirecting a river's natural flow and putting up a dam. And, N.C. my home state is limited to natural desasters by way of Hurricanes...I will for right now stick with man made global warming.(smile)
