Mom...I often have to ask these same questions myself. I think there are 2 reasons for this...one big reason is too many whites in control are intimidated by black news anchors. They think he or she is more difficult to control than a white male or female of any color.

Another reason for the lack of black news anchors could have more to do with the characteristics of the business itself...
