Shocking news from Rio De Janeiro reports that an 23 year old armed gunman took to a public elementary school killing at least 11 students. 10 girls and 1 boy were shot to death. Officials said the gunman identified as Wellington Menezes de Oliveira was also a former student of the school. Menezes de Oliveira entered the school carrying two hand guns told the school officals he was there to deliver a speech, but instead he began firing upon students at random. He was on his way up to third floor of the school, but quick action from two wounded young students who ran two blocks alerting their local police who arrived on the scene shooting and wounding assailant in his left leg. The suspect's rampage caused injuries along with riverted chaos with 18 other children whom were hospitalized. This was the first of this kind of violent school shootings ever known in Rio De Janierio. At least 400 people were at the school during the rampant voyage of violent spray of bullets.
Decription of the area was reported as bloody and with loud voices of screaming and crying. The shots fired began around 8:30 local time and many parents rushed to the school in panic to see if the outcome of their children safety after hearing the tragic news. The gunman ended his life with a self-inflicted suicidal wound.
