Irma it seems to me that all who say they are Christians are not True to the Word. You'll find those who say I am a Christian and even swearing they love God, but then have hate of his fellow brother/sister .. is not at all what Christ teaches. There are many false Christians in America and it makes it tougher for True Christians who really do show love and not misuse Christ. True Christians still exist and are really staying true without abusing that they trust in Jesus. This nation has both of course.

"I" do admit that each time I hear politicians today say, " We are a Christian nation"...it sets me back on my need to forgive the Christians of the days of chatel slavery and even the KKK of today...

and, it affects me in this manner, because of today there is still that social norm that it is just perfectly alright to abuse and misuse the name of Christ like this. (NUP)

@robert, I believe this nation is just good at creating small minds / tunnel vision as well as resistance to these at the same time. (smile)
