2011 SALUTES SENAGAL
MEMPHIS HOME TOWN LIL EXTRA!!
Breaking records this year was the largest one ever attended. Flocks of Memphis folks came by droves. Food, music, site seekers and even just browsing and sitting around. The fest took off on Thursday, April 14th and ends on Sunday, April 17th. The evening ends with a great band so it's so exciting! As I'm writing this hundreds are still downtown this very moment. Each year the annual cultural festival keeps growing. Moving from downtown Conferate Park from it's beginning now it's held annually at Robert Church Park grounds in the Beale Street district right in front of the Fed-X Forum Arena. I took a shot of some photos and videos with my camera! It was great!
Senagal was the African Country saluted this year. Each year a country is selected to be part of the Memphis Africa in April Cultural Celebration.
