OBAMA TO SPEAK AT MEMPHIS CITY SCHOOL'S COMMENCEMENT

Memphis has been in the focus with the river stage flooding..now also it's been officially announced and confirmed from Washington, D.C. that one of the Memphis City Schools will be having President Obama serve as guest speaker at their commencent exercise!! Booker T. Washington was selected as the winner in the Race to the Top Commencement Challenge Contest. Their video was selected from the top six schools from different parts of the country. The news came with a telephone call to the school from Vice President Biden notifying the Principal Alisha Kiner with the delighted news.
Booker T. Washington is the oldest Memphis City's school created for Black students during the segregation era. There were 460 high school applicants. Date for the visit from the President is yet to be arranged, but students and faculty had a haughty leap in celebrating the awaiting arrival along with entire spirit of The City of Memphis.
