This funeral announcement was published in the December 26 2001 edition of Al Wafd, an Egyptian Newspaper, and has been translated from Arabic.

Al-Wafd, Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Vol 15 No 4633

A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa'da organization, stating that bin Laden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death. The official, who asked to remain anonymous, stated to The Observer of Pakistan that he had himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days ago. He mentioned that 30 of al-Qa'da fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taleban. In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air.

The official stated that it is difficult to pinpoint the burial location of bin Laden because according to the Wahhabi tradition no mark is left by the grave. He stressed that it is unlikely that the American forces would ever uncover any traces of bin Laden.

Really???

Don’t you think you are giving away your trust a little too easily?

Do you really want to give your total, uncritical credibility to a report in a newspaper named Al Wafd…

a newspaper you have never seen before…

whose political orientation you don’t know (Is it Left? Right? Center?)…

written by a reporter whose reputation and reliability is unverified…

written in a language you can’t read…

that was not picked up by any International News Agency (BBC, Reuters, Canadian Press or any other organization)…

a report based on an anonymous unattributed statement by a “prominent official in the Afghan Taliban movement” whose name, reputation and reliability you have no information on and no ability to evaluate…

a report that was not independently verified…

You really want to believe a report with so little actual reliable information and too many legitimate questions over a public statement by the President of United States?

Really???

(not to worry because I deleted myown comments, you see after I mad my comments, I realize that what is being said here especially the black majority thing... is exactly what is being said about Minister Farrakhan as to why he should be gotten rid of, and I didn't want any parts of it) (smile)

@Rich, may "I" add as is being said at this moment on the Ed Show, that Black welfare president that will never do any thing good for the Black people should go along with him being a lier and a cheat of public trust. (smile)
